12.15 kW Multifamily Solar + Battery Backup | St. Louis, MO

Project Overview

Brda Electric designed and installed a turnkey 12.15 kW roof-mounted solar system with Enphase battery backup for a two-unit multifamily (duplex) in St. Louis. The array uses 30 ZNShine 405W modules paired with Enphase IQ8+ microinverters to maximize production and reliability on a complex roofline. Two Enphase IQ Battery 5P units (10 kWh total) plus an IQ System Controller 3 provide whole-home resiliency for critical loads, helping the property owner cut operating costs and keep essential circuits online during outages. The project included Ameren Missouri interconnection coordination, permitting, inspections, Eaton whole-home surge protection, and full Enphase Enlighten monitoring setup—a complete, turnkey commercial solar solution tailored to small multifamily real estate.

INSTALLATION INCLUDED

• Installing a 12.15 kW roof-mounted solar array using 30 ZNShine 405W modules for high efficiency and maximum roof utilization
• Pairing each panel with Enphase IQ8+ microinverters for optimized production and real-time system monitoring
• Integrating two Enphase IQ Battery 5P units (10 kWh total) with an IQ System Controller 3 for whole-home battery backup and critical-load protection
