Project Overview
This University City residential project brought together several electrical upgrades to prepare the home for current and future power needs. Brda Electric replaced the main electrical panel with a 40-space SPAN smart panel, installed new breakers for the existing circuits, updated grounding and bonding, and added whole-home surge protection.
The garage electrical system was also upgraded with a new main-breaker subpanel supplied by a dedicated 100-amp circuit. Additional improvements included surge protection for the garage panel, a dedicated 20-amp circuit, GFCI protection for the garage door openers, and corrections to exposed wiring.
To support at-home EV charging, Brda Electric added a dedicated 60-amp circuit and installed a Tesla Universal EV charger. Together, these improvements added electrical capacity, modernized key components, and created infrastructure to support higher-demand equipment throughout the property.
