Project Overview

Brda Electric completed a full turnkey residential solar installation for a homeowner in Columbia, Illinois. This high-performing solar energy system was designed to help offset the home’s electricity usage while providing long-term energy savings through a professionally installed rooftop solar array.

The system features 52 Silfab 440W QD solar panels paired with 52 Enphase IQ8X-80-M-US microinverters, creating a total system size of 22.88kW. Based on the homeowner’s projected energy usage, the system is designed to offset approximately 115.17% of annual electricity consumption.

As part of the turnkey project scope, Brda Electric furnished and installed all required racking, microinverters, wiring, and supporting equipment needed to tie the solar system into the home’s electrical system. Our team also handled Ameren Illinois coordination, utility interconnection, required building and electrical permits, and plan sets.

Once installation and commissioning were complete, Brda Electric provided the homeowner with a full system overview and walkthrough to ensure they understood how the solar system operates and how to monitor performance.
