Project Overview
Brda Electric completed a full turnkey residential solar and battery backup installation for a homeowner in Godfrey, Illinois. This project was designed to provide the home with a high-output solar energy system, reliable backup power, and an upgraded electrical service to support the full system.
The installation features a 27.06kW solar system made up of 66 Mission Solar MSE410HT0B solar panels paired with 66 Enphase IQ8+ microinverters. The system was also equipped with Enphase monitoring and interconnection equipment, including an Enphase IQ Combiner 6C and Enphase IQ Meter Collar.
To add energy storage and backup power capability, Brda Electric installed a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery system with expansion battery capacity, providing approximately 54 kWh of battery backup. This gives the homeowner the ability to store solar energy and maintain backup power during outages.
As part of the complete project scope, Brda Electric also performed a turnkey 400A electric service upgrade from the home’s existing 200A service. Our team handled the required wiring, equipment, permitting, Ameren coordination, utility connection, and homeowner walkthrough to ensure the full system was installed, inspected, commissioned, and ready for use.
