Project Overview
Brda Electric completed a turnkey Tesla battery backup installation for a Southern Illinois homeowner who wanted dependable, automatic power during outages without disrupting their existing solar setup.
The system was designed to integrate directly with the home’s current solar PV system and provide seamless backup functionality using a Tesla Gateway for automatic switchover when utility power goes out. In addition to installing a Tesla Powerwall 3, our team added two Tesla Powerwall 3 expansion pack batteries to increase storage capacity and extend backup coverage.
This project was delivered as a complete, start-to-finish installation, including all wiring, equipment, programming, and full permit/inspection coordination. The homeowner now has a modern backup power system that can store solar energy, keep critical loads running during outages, and provide greater energy independence year-round.
